While there are all sorts of absolutely fantastic companies, there are an equal number of fly by night scammers who will take your money and either not provide anything at all or, they’ll show up, and they’ll do work, but it will be work that results in having to be torn off and completely redone.

- The initial consult should be done by someone who is professionally dressed, groomed, comes off as knowledgeable, and is very low pressure. He/she doesn’t seem to mind if you decide not to move forward with hiring them.
- Their vehicle should be clean, new and lettered professionally (this not to say that if they arrive in an unlettered vehicle, they are not trustworthy. It is just that most reputable roofing companies have lettered up vehicles.)
- You should receive branded paperwork/collateral from them. Not a generic form purchased from the shelf at Staples or Office Depot.
Lastly, please just use common sense when calling on Roofers in West Michigan. It’s just too easy to fall prey to one of the bad guys when your home is need of a roof repair.
